Be patient with this page - it is image heavy and may take a
while to load the graphics. Some scaled down examples of graphics I can provide. Please
contact me with your requirements for custom graphics.
Logo Design Design of logos from scratch or from an existing company design for
use on the web.
I mainly use Illustrator and FireWorks for
logo design, firstly producing vector quality images from which anything
is possible (Flash, printed material etc.). Other software used includes
Corel Draw and Deneba Canvas (both Vector based image editors).
PhotoShop is used after the initial design to
add effects, textures and for blending images.

Flash/Animation - See Examples
Smooth, clean animation
can be achievedthrough
the use of Macromedia
Flash. Vector graphics
are very adaptable and
also very small compared
to their bitmap counterparts.
Button/Icon Design
Icons and web buttons need to convey a description of what they lead to
when clicked. Typical themes would include recognisable symbols (such as
Microsoft uses for it's operating system) and pictorial images like a
camera to symbolize photographs.
Software used for making buttons and icons vary, but FireWorks is
a great tool that helps build JavaScript actions within the HTML output
file.
Freehand Drawing/Image Creation
Working with a Wacom pad and pen (Intuos), I can produce airbrush type
graphics as though working with real paint/ink and canvas. PhotoShop is
the main piece of software used for this, although PaintShop Pro is ideal
for small items/retouching.
Photographic/Digital Image
Retouching
Using photographic images from a camera or a scanner, I can
alter/adjust the composition in any number of ways. Examples of this are
changing backgrounds/surroundings, overlaying images over one another,
removing/adding objects, different edge effects, removing red-eye, sun
spots, glamorising portraits and more.
Technical/Schematic Illustration
Technical and schematic diagrams are generally
designed in a vector image program where smooth gradients can be applied
easily to give a 3D look. Transparency overlay effects work very
well in diagrams with cutaway views of interior contents.
Ad. Banner Design
Banners for advertising are designed in various software, often animated
and may be in Flash.
FireWorks is a typical program to use to design banners both animated and
static, but Flash allows for more animation effects and better quality
whilst keeping the file size low.
